Uttarkashi/Dehradun: The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that the state government had been working promptly for ensuring the all-round development of the state; and had been implementing many important schemes and programmes for the welfare of the common public. He added that the officers should meet the public by personally visiting the villages and give them detailed information regarding various schemes run by the state government, so that the public got the benefit of the schemes run by the state government for the welfare of the common public.
CM Dr. Nishank directly interacted with the common public and the students in the Mori block of district Uttarkashi under his Vikas Yatra in Government Inter College and and solved many problems faced by the public at the spot itself. The CM also asked the school students many questions about various schemes and programmes run by the state government for the welfare of the common public. He also got the students who gave satisfactory answers awarded by the MLA and Chairman of the Zila Panchayat with cash amount of Rs. 501 each. More than 400 people got benefit of various schemes directly during the programme, among which NSC of Rs. 25,000 each to 42 students under Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojna were distributed during the programme itself. Besides, 20 BPL families and 5 APL families got ration under Atal Khaddyanna Yojna. In addition to it, as many as 141 people got benefit of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali tourism, old-age pension, physically handicapped pension and sanitation programmes. On the demand of the local public and the peoples’ representatives, CM Dr Nishank directed the Engineer of the Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojna and DFO of the sanctuary region to take immediate action for construction of roads in the Govind Vanya Jeev Vihar falling under the 42 villages of the Mori region. CM Dr Nishank also directed to start immediate action for construction of roads in Liwadi, Fitadi, etc. of the Mori region and warned of strict action in case of any negligence in the work.
An announcement of giving Rs. 25 lakh each for construction of Inter College buildings at Mori Naitwad, Kharadi, and Damta Inter College buildings and opening of ITI in Mori, and Allopaetihic hospital in Gangad of Mori was also made on the occasion. The CM also issued strict direction to the DEO that no school should remain without teachers. He assured that there will not be any scarcity of teachers in the coming session, as the process of recruitment of thousands of LT and Lecturers through Public Service Commission is underway.
He added that the state government wants to develop Uttarakhand into an ‘education hub’, so it has been making every possible effort for taking the state in that direction. Chairman of the Zila Panchayat N.S.Chauhan, BJP district President B.S.Rawat, Swaraj Vidwan, MLA Goal Rawat, Rajkumar, Rajesh Juwantha, Block Pramukh Pooja Rawat, Amichand, Amrit Nagar, BJP spokesperson Satish Lakhera, ADM Navneet Pandey, SP A.M.Joshi, CDO, SDM Purola U.S.Rana, and other officers in large number were also present on the occasion.
